After the Snowcloaked Mine’s miasma-clearing event, return to Gaki’s room. In the developer walkthrough, entering the room triggers Gaki’s recovery sequence, followed by a heart reward and a conversation. This page covers that return checkpoint, not every puzzle required to cleanse the mine.
Confirm that the mine-clearing event happened
Look for the explicit message that miasma has been cleared from the dungeon and Lief’s equipment. In the developer recording, it appears around 19:00 after the large cyan column changes to white and the red material beneath it disappears. Seeing a different room palette alone is weaker confirmation than this message. Clearing event
The event is shown in a room with mine rails, several red circular hazard areas and the tall central column. The recording approaches a floor tile on the right immediately before the change. This is a visual checkpoint for players already at this stage; the page does not prescribe an unverified sequence for all of the surrounding mechanisms.
Return to the encounter room
Continue back through the mine to the north-facing locked doorway shown around 20:13. The developer enters at 20:14. Gaki is initially red at the top of the next room, but the recovery animation starts without a sustained sword exchange: small figures gather, and Gaki returns to a brown appearance. An independent recording shows the same brown Gaki and gathering figures during its recovery section at 14:16–14:22. That clip corroborates the recovery result, but it cuts past the mine-clearing process. It cannot independently verify the entire prerequisite route. Independent comparison
Collect the reward, then approach Gaki
