The recorded opening obtains Clem’s Lantern, the Pilgrim’s Sword, and then the Pictograph Box before Pilgrim’s Sanctum. Equip the items as you receive them. The fairy’s copy/create ability arrives later, inside the dungeon.
Follow the equipment landmarks
| Equipment | Pickup landmark | Two recorded checkpoints |
|---|---|---|
| Clem’s Lantern | Talk to the frog above the diagonal square blocks in the opening area | gocalibergaming, 5:20 · Sooo Mungry, 7:10 |
| Pilgrim’s Sword | The upper end of a narrow raised approach between lit braziers, after the water-crossing area | gocalibergaming, 8:20 · Sooo Mungry, 13:42 |
| Pictograph Box | Finish the conversation on the small reddish platform with the wooden bridge | gocalibergaming, 11:00 · Sooo Mungry, 19:15 |
These identify pickup locations in the recordings; they are not a turn-by-turn route. Video timestamps are checkpoints, not completion-time targets.
Equip the lantern and sword
Use the Equip screen to assign each item to an action slot, then use your own mapped input. The lantern lights dark areas and starts fires. Keep it and the sword accessible for the dungeon: Fermata’s fight uses fire and sword openings before its copied-shooter phase.
If pressing the assigned action does nothing, check PC controller troubleshooting before treating it as a missing puzzle step.
Photograph an enemy with the Pictograph Box
The camera records creature information; it does not reproduce puzzle objects. The following example is visible in Sooo Mungry’s PC recording:
- Open Equip and assign the red Pictograph Box icon to an item slot. The recorded assignment is at 19:25.
- Face a nearby enemy and use the camera’s assigned action. At 19:33, Lief faces the small yellow, round enemy above them. A brief flash and an album notification appear.
- Open the menu and move to the Collect page shown in this recording. Select the purple book icon labelled Creature Album. Menu and album, 19:50–20:08
- Select the revealed creature portrait. The first round-creature portrait displays a drop icon at 20:08; neighbouring unknown entries show question marks. This gives you a visible result to check after photographing an enemy.
This example establishes one successful capture and the resulting album display. It does not establish a maximum camera distance, every valid target or a complete creature checklist.
Quest or Collect?
The pickup message in the September 4 recording directs the player to the Quest subscreen. The September 5 recording actually shows Creature Album under Collect, with Quest as a separate page. If you cannot find the album in Quest, check Collect for the purple book icon.
The recordings do not identify their installed builds, so this label discrepancy is unresolved. Follow the visible Creature Album label in your menu rather than assuming the pickup message matches every version.
For the fairy’s separate object mechanic, read copy and spawn. For specific first-dungeon obstacles, use Pilgrim’s Sanctum puzzle help.
