How to Beat Fermata in Isle of Reveries

Beat Fermata by relighting four braziers, placing copied shooters through flames and collecting the Fairy Key.

Guide scope

Full observed lighting and shooter fight loop

Relight all four braziers to expose Fermata. Use the sword during the early openings; when the arrow-shooting devices appear, copy one to light the distant braziers and attack the exposed boss from the centre line.

Prepare the lantern, sword and copy actions

The fight combines fire and combat. Keep these actions accessible and use your own bindings rather than copying a video’s button letters. Both the developer video and an independent recording show the same overall method.

Early cycles: relight, then strike

Move between the four braziers and light them with the lantern while avoiding purple projectiles and summoned enemies. Once all four are lit, approach the exposed boss and use the sword. Repeat the lighting sequence when the room goes dark again. Independent fight, 0:48–1:12

If your sword attempts make no progress while the room is dark, focus on the braziers first. This is the observed opening condition, not a promise that every conceivable damage method has been tested.

Shooter phase: use the flame as part of the shot

  1. Copy one of the arrow-shooting devices.
  2. Light the lower braziers with the lantern.
  3. Create a shooter below a lit lower brazier, aimed upward. Its arrow passes through the flame and ignites the upper brazier in that column.
  4. Repeat for the other column.
  5. With all four lit, create an upward-facing shooter on the central line below Fermata. The recorded finishing shot hits the exposed boss.

For each side, the order is shooter → lower flame → upper brazier. A shooter in the wrong column will not perform that demonstrated interaction. Independent sequence · Developer comparison

Rewards and next step

Collect the heart reward, then approach the north end. The independent recording explicitly confirms increased maximum life and the Fairy Key. Rewards

For room puzzles before the fight, return to Pilgrim’s Sanctum. For the underlying alignment rule, read copy and spawn.
