Final-boss spoilers. Use the Fairy Slinger on the green eyes, then use the Claw’ncher when the tongue is exposed. Between those openings, stay on the southern platform and avoid the sweeping vertical beams.
Prepare the two tools
The developer pauses before the fight and labels both items in the Equip menu: Fairy Slinger at 16:42–16:43 and Claw’ncher at 16:44. Match those items rather than their button assignments, which differ between the recordings. Equipment check
Eyes first
While the eyes are green, align Lief with one eye and send the fairy upward using the Fairy Slinger. Repeat for the other eye. The inspected sequence changes an eye from green to dark, then exposes the mouth after both are dark. Keep room to dodge the tentacles and projectiles while lining up the next shot. Act on the exposed tongue
When the mouth opens and the pink tongue is visible, line up with the centre of the face and fire the Claw’ncher toward it. The developer’s 17:09–17:10 sequence shows the claw reaching the tongue and the boss flashing from the hit; the independent video shows the tongue interaction during its next opening. Developer tongue interaction · Independent comparison
Do not continue firing at dark eye sockets after the mouth has become the active opening. Switch to the tongue interaction, then prepare for the next attack phase.
Avoid the sweeping beams
When the face withdraws, overhead devices sweep vertical beams across the arena. Watch the lines and move within the southern platform to avoid their paths. Later sweeps use two beams, so a position that avoided the previous pass may not avoid the next one. Repeat the eye/tongue sequence when the face returns. Single and double sweeps
The independent recording reaches the defeat animation around 18:07; the developer recording around 17:47. Those are evidence timestamps, not speed targets or fixed cycle counts.
